Paws Express Dog Training has an experienced staff of instructors.
Valeri Wright, owner of Paws Express Dog Training, has been training dogs since 1991. She began teaching Agility and Obedience classes in 1994 and started Paws Express in 1999.
In recent years she has also starting to train and compete with her dogs in Retrieving and Dock Diving. She offers individual and group classes in all levels of Agility and Rally Obedience, from Beginners to Advanced level competition, private lessons in Obedience and behavior consultations and lessons in Life Skills for dogs of all ages.
Valeri is also experienced in formal obedience instruction and competition. |

Valeri and her husband, Dan, have been members of Pet Therapy of the Ozarks since 1992 and have trained five Pet-Assisted Therapy dogs. They are charter members of Greater Ozarks Agility League, a NADAC Agility Club. Valeri is also a member of Association of Pet Dog Trainers and Springfield Dog Training Club.

The Wrights currently have three Golden Retrievers they have trained, Hawkeye, Dakota and Chase, that hold 24 Agility titles, 10 Obedience titles, 10 Rally Obedience titles and 3 Retrieving titles. Valeri and Dan have also owned and trained five German Shepherds having earned 12 Obedience and Agility titles on them. Five of their dogs have appeared as models in advertising and videos. Hawkeye has also been on stage at Springfield Little Theater in two productions, playing the part of Sandy in “Annie” and playing Helen Keller's dog, Belle, in "The Miracle Worker", in addition to appearing in a motion picture filmed in Christian County. |

All of the other staff members are actively training and earning titles in Agility, Formal and/or Rally Obedience:
Dan Wright assists with class when there is a need for a substitute or when classes are unusally large (or when the mood strikes him!). He has put Obedience titles on his Shepherd, Nick, and Agility titles on his other Shepherd, Tessa. He has also competed with his Golden Retriever, Dakota, in Obedience, Agility and Retrieving.
Vicky Sullivan teaches all levels of Agility and has earned several Advanced Agility titles on her Belgian Tervurens, Auggie, Zane and Iggy, in addition to showing Valeri's Golden, Chase, in Agility ocassionally.
Debbie Moore assists in the Agility Fundmentals classes and the Rally Obedience Classes. She is currently training her Westie, Sporty, and her Shepherd, Tessa, in both Agility and Obedience. She has earned obedience titles in the past with her Keeshound.
